A toy stage coach with a team of four horses in two pairs. Made from painted tin. The coach is a replica of the Bath to London stage coach, complete with bouncy suspension. The horses are on wheeled bases so that the whole toy can be easily moved along a flat surface. It has been restored with new reigns. Originally from Broughton Hall, Malpas, Cheshire.

A patchwork quilt made from tiny hexagonal scraps of old clothing. The patches form a diamond pattern. This was started in the 1880's by the donor's grandmother and then completed in the early 1900's by her sister.

Red leather jewellery box with silver lock and handle. Interior lined with red ruched satin and velvet. The box is divided into three compartments with a single drawer underneath.

Leather strop for sharpening cut-throat razors. There is a thick padded leather handle at one end and large steel hooks at the other. Well used and repaired. It was used by the donor's father.

A finely carved shell figurine of a lady surrounded by flowers and the broken remains of a second figurine. Sealed under a small glass dome.

A game of military whist. This is a variation on whist for a large number of players. The game is played with small silk flags of different nations. There are three boxes of flags.
