Object name: inscribed tombstone

Description: Tombstone broken across the figure and much worn; the top left corner and much of the left side have broken away. A flat-topped niche, hung in either top corner with a swag surmounted by a dove, contains a high-backed funeral couch, with its four legs shown in quasi-perspective, and also a three-legged table carrying food. The deceased, with draped left arm, legs and thighs holds a wine-cup in the right hand, while over the back of the couch peeps an attendant, waiting to replenish it. Below, in a panel, is a weathered inscription.
